The area surrounding Inman Yard (West Midtown) has changed a lot. It used to be a pure industrial zone, but now it is full of luxury apartments and walking trails. Because of this, the city has legally banned big trucks from driving down several local streets.
- The Police Traps: Do not take your rig down Huff Road, Elaine Avenue, or Howell Mill Road. Local police heavily monitor these streets and will hand you a ticket costing up to $1,000 if you try to use them as a shortcut. Always stick to the main lanes of Marietta Boulevard.

- Where to Sleep: The best spot close by is the Petro Atlanta at Exit 12 off I-285 (Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy). It has over 400 parking spaces, a service center, hot showers, and a restaurant. Another good option is the Pilot Travel Center on Bouldercrest Road (Exit 51).
